Delete your Luthando account

This page lets you request permanent deletion of your Luthando account (the Luthando language-learning app by Luthando) and the personal data associated with it.

How it works

Enter the email address you use to sign in to the Luthando app and submit the form below.
We verify that the request comes from the account owner (we may email you to confirm).
Your account and associated data are permanently deleted within 30 days of verification, and we send you a final confirmation.

What is deleted

Your account profile (name, email address, phone number, password, profile photo)
Learning progress, assessment results, points and streaks
Class bookings, calendar entries and educator/learner relationships
In-app notifications and messages
Linked child/guardian profiles you created (guardians only)

What is kept, and for how long

Payment and order records are retained for 5 years where South African tax and financial legislation requires it. They are stored in a form no longer linked to an active account.
Anonymised usage statistics that can no longer identify you may be retained.

This deletion process is provided by Luthando for users of the Luthando app on Google Play and the App Store. You can also submit the same request from inside the app or via our help page.
