Request deletion of your data

This page lets you ask Luthando (the Luthando language-learning app) to delete specific personal data without deleting your account — for example your learning history, bookings, or an uploaded profile photo. To delete your whole account instead, use the account deletion page.

How it works

Enter your sign-in email and describe the data you want removed.
We verify that the request comes from the account owner (we may email you to confirm).
The requested data is deleted within 30 days of verification, and we confirm by email. Your account stays active.

Data you can ask us to delete

Learning progress, assessment results, points and streaks
Class booking history and calendar entries
Profile photo and optional profile fields (e.g. phone number)
In-app notifications and messages

What we may need to keep

Payment and order records are retained for 5 years where South African tax and financial legislation requires it.
Data needed to keep your account working (your email address and password) is kept until you delete the account itself.

This deletion process is provided by Luthando for users of the Luthando app on Google Play and the App Store. You can also submit the same request from inside the app or via our help page.
